Grabouw has recorded 10.9 mm of rain on the 27 June 2020. Pictures has gone viral on social media, where it shows the Old Cape Road was completely flooded and traffic was diverted. It started raining early morning around 3am and at that time strong North West wind has hit Grabouw very hard. Trees was blown down, the roofs of house in the suburbs were blown off and in some part of Grabouw was left in the dark.
