I shared this on our Facebook page ( TWK Resource Network: Stay in the Know) and I am please asking you to share in your TWK circles too – let us make this one big celebration of our strong warrior females!!! We need to share more positive stories ( Feel Good Stories) instead of all the gender-based violence stories towards our women/ girls we read in the media almost daily L
August is Women’s month and we are looking to celebrate all our Theewaterskloof #UnsungHeroes – our strong, determined and always caring women!!
We calling out to all of you – mainly the men – of Theewaterskloof to #Nominate your mother, sister, wife, female friend or colleague, the auntie who runs the soup kitchen, who takes care of the helpless and homeless etc. – and send these stories to us to showcase on social media.
What do you do?
1. Take a picture of your #UnsungFemaleHero (SheRo) – any age.
2. Write us a short story on WHY you see her as your Unsung SheRo AND use the hashtag #SheCounts in your story as well
3. Send your stories to me via email by 30 July 2020: hazelap@twk.org.za
4. We will publish 1 story every day for the whole month of August.
Let’s honour our women and show them the respect they deserve. Our communities will be lost without of women!!
